Working Areas: Rupandehi and Kapilvastu Districts
Target Groups:

  • AT risk population
  • People Living with HIV (PLHIV)

Objectives:

  • Achieve and maintain epidemic control of HIV
  • Provide care, treatment, and support services
  • HIV testing, ART initiation, and viral load suppression of at risk population.

Key Services:

  • HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC)
  • ART referral and follow-up
  • ART support services
  • viral load follow-up
  • Community care services of People Living with HIV

Social Service Unit (SSU)

Partner: Lumbini Provincial Hospital and Bhim Hospital
Project Duration: Ongoing since July 2020
Working Area: Rupandehi District
Target Groups:

  • Ultra-poor, elderly, disabled, survivors of GBV, malnourished children, etc. (12 vulnerable groups)

Objectives:

  • Provide free or partially free healthcare services to underserved populations
  • Improve access to government health schemes
  • Coordinate referrals, counseling, and service utilization

Community Safety Net (CSN)

Donor: Nagarik Aawaz, Lalitpur
Project Duration: January 2023 – June 2025
Working Area: Om Satiya Rural Municipality and Siddharthanagar Municipality, Rupandehi District
Target Population:

  • Marginalized women and children
  • Persons with disabilities
  • Single women, survivors of GBV, Dalit and disadvantaged groups
  • Elderly, adolescents without guardians, sexual minorities

Objectives:

  • Strengthen community resilience to disasters
  • Provide psychosocial counseling and emergency relief
  • Promote gender equality and inclusion through safety nets
  • Facilitate disaster risk reduction and climate change awareness

Key Activities:

  • Monthly women’s safety network meetings
  • School and community DRR orientations
  • Psychosocial counseling and referral
  • Emergency response (e.g., support during Jajarkot earthquake)
  • Awareness campaigns through local FM
