What We Do

NAMUNA focuses on integrated development initiatives to uplift the lives of underprivileged communities. Key programmatic areas include:

  1. Public Health & HIV Response: Through the EpiC Nepal project in Rupandehi, and Kapilvastu, NAMUNA delivers HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support services to key populations, including Female Sex Workers, Men who have Sex with Men, transgender individuals, and People Living with HIV (PLHIV).
  2. Social Protection & Access to Services: NAMUNA operates Social Service Units (SSUs) in collaboration with Lumbini Provincial Hospital and Bhim Hospital, providing free or subsidized medical services to 12 vulnerable groups, including the elderly, ultra-poor, disabled, and survivors of gender-based violence.
  3. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Gender Equality: The Community Safety Net project, supported by Nagarik Aawaz, builds the resilience of marginalized women and children through community empowerment, psychosocial support, relief distribution, and local disaster preparedness planning.
  4. Advocacy and Rights Education: NAMUNA conducts awareness campaigns, social audits, and community dialogues on issues such as human rights, gender-based violence, women’s health, and reproductive rights. These initiatives are designed using participatory methods, enabling sustainability and long-term impact.
